JAG Reading Program The JAG reading program is a schoolwide program which is required for every student. The requirements have been adjusted to reflect the new PROWL/literacy initiatives for this school year.
Requirements by grade level per nine weeks: 6th grade Minimum Reading Requirement: 1000 minutes Above and Beyond Requirement: 1500 minutes 7th grade Minimum Reading Requirement: 1200 minutes Above and Beyond Requirement: 1500 minutes 8th grade Minimum Reading Requirement: 3 books (150 pg minimum) Above and Beyond Requirement: 5 books (150 pg minimum) |

Reading Rewards For reaching the minimum requirement: Student name recognized on teacher reading recognition wall Students receive JAG reading card worth $40 in incentives Students receive a Chik-fil-A ice cream coupon Students receive a cool bookmark
