Running/Walking Club

Mission or Purpose:
To promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise; organize a 5K for the community.
Meeting Dates and Time:
Tuesdays from 4:20pm -5:30pm starting September 14th

Location:
Pick-Up Location:Students will need to be picked up in the car rider lane at Jones Middle School. Given advanced notice, we may need the students to be picked up from the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center in Buford, as this is a course we may use for running/walking.
The students will need permission to be transported by teachers at Jones Middle School to go to Little Mulberry Park and the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center. Students need to bring the appropriate dress attire for running/walking; their P.E. uniform would be fine. Students need to have a ride arranged to pick them up at 5:30pm each Tuesday. If the weather does not cooperate, the students will know before bus call that running club has been cancelled.
The Jaguar Jog:
At the end of the school year, we will host the 3rd annual Jaguar Jog where the community will come out to the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center to participate in a 5K. For this event, we need donations of water bottles, fruit, giveaways, and goodie bag fillers. Please contact one of the sponsors if you would like to contribute. If you would like to register for the race, there will be more information available in January, 2011. Thank you for your support!
