Mission/Purpose of Club: The Jones Middle School Honor Band is comprised of the most dedicated 7th and 8th grade students in the program. Students must complete a “pass-off” requirement and commit to an extra-curricular rehearsal schedule to be eligible. Seventh grade students must meet one standard, while 8th grade students are required to achieve a more advanced one.

The JMS Jazz band is comprised of 7th and 8th grade students wishing to further their knowledge and skill in the area of jazz music. The students have the opportunity to learn various styles of jazz, pop and rock music. Concerts are given periodically throughout the year in the evenings and at JMS Basketball games.
Meeting Dates and Times: The Honor Band meets on Tuesday mornings from 7:45 am until 8:50 am.   The Jazz Band meets on Thursday mornings from 8:00 am until 8:50 am.
