This presentation was based on a webquest
completed in Ms. Sayed's and Mrs. Teti's 7th grade
Jag class at Jones Middle School in Buford, Georgia.

Students were given the assignment of selecting an endangered animal and returning it to its natural habitat in Africa. This assignment incorporated ideas from both the Social Studies and Science curriculums. This was an enrichment class which involved students working in groups and performing a specific job within their group. Jobs were journalist, photo journalist, scientist and travel agent. Students had to research the animal and the ecosystems of Africa to determine which environment was appropriate for the return of their animal. In addition to collecting this data and compiling photographs, they also were responsible for creating a paper mural representing the biome.
